In recent years an opportunity arose with one of my clients to become involved with Health & Safety. Given my previous and extensive experience with Health & Safety systems and reporting with a leading New Zealand company which operates in an extremely hazardous environment, I felt I was well placed to take up this challenge.

Now I have turned this challenge into an exciting new passion – coaching people in organisations to become better leaders. When I was given the opportunity to assist with my client's Health & Safety management system, I subsequently also developed and implemented their Leadership Development programme. The resulting positive feedback has been phenomenal and truly humbling!

It will not surprise you that Health & Safety and Leadership are closely related. Health & Safety in my mind has a lot to do with mental models and influencing people’s thinking. And so does Leadership! 

So especially for those people who have become managers or team leaders thanks to their technical abilities, I offer a good platform to develop that other challenging aspect of their role: dealing with people.
